P.O.D. Continue Work On New Album
April 22, 2005RollingStone.com is reporting that P.O.D. have finished laying down bass and drums for their new album in San Francisco and have returned to their hometown of San Diego to finish the recording of their follow-up to 2003's "Payable on Death".
"It's gonna be a more mature, heavy P.O.D.," bassist Traa said. "We're taking our time and doing it right."
Produced by Greg Fidelman (AUDIOSLAVE, MARILYN MANSON),the as-yet-untitled album marks the hard rockers' second with guitarist Jason Truby. However, unlike "Payable on Death" — recorded after founding guitarist Marcos Curiel' sudden departure — Traa, singer Sonny and drummer Wuv have had time to get to know Truby. "We've been together for a couple of years now," Traa says, "and we've figured out how to hone what we have."
